Job Summary and QualificationsWe are seeking a highly-skilled and compassionate RN to join our Central Resource Pool (CRP). In this role you will float to units across the facility delivering an exceptional level of care to patients admitted for a variety of medical and surgical procedures. - As a CRP Registered Nurse you will deliver patient-centered nursing care to patients within your scope of practice and based on your nursing competencies.
- You may float to units such as critical care, intensive care, medical, surgical, telemetry, step down, neuroscience, cardiac, trauma, orthopedic, oncology, post anesthesia care, short stay, as well as to the emergency department.
- Working with the multidisciplinary team of nurses, providers and patient care staff on each unit, you will implement a care plan to meet each patient’s needs.
- You will monitor, record and communicate patient conditions as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
- As a part of the clinical team of the unit to which you have floated, you will coordinate patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
- When dealing with patients, visitors, co-workers and other customers, you will maintain cultural and diversity awareness, and much more.
What qualifications you will need:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
- Current Registered Nurse License in Virginia or Current Multistate Compact License
- 2 years of nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting
- Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

The LPN skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with resident, health care providers, and the public. Ability to work effectively with professional and supportive personnel as a member of an interdisciplinary care team. The LPN ability to communicate clearly and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. The LPN counsels residents, family members and/or resident advocate, under the direction of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider or physician on prevention and treatment plans. Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
If position requires IV therapy/management skills, the following is required in North Dakota: graduation from a Board approved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing.
Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span as part of the curriculum or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility. Specific services/positions may have additional education, training or experience requirements.
Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges. Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span as part of the curriculum or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility. At Preferred Home Health Care Nursing Services, a Care Options for Kids company, we provide 1:1 care in the home, and we do things a little differently. There’s no revolving door of patients or hospital setting chaos – blinking call lights, scurrying doctors, and wards bursting at the seams.
Instead, you work with self-sufficient autonomy, empowered to make a real difference in your clients’ lives. We value your clinical knowledge and respect the deep one-on-one bond you establish with the families you care for. Of course, if you need anything, your Director of Nursing is only a phone call away – we offer 24-hour, 365-day support and on-demand clinical resources.
A Day in the Life of a Care Options for Kids Nurse
You start your day by touching base with your care team, whether that’s mom, dad, or the nurse you are relieving. For added ease, in-depth information on your client is available in our dedicated EHR platform.
Your client greets you warmly. Though she’s non-verbal, she’ll smile and reach out to touch your face and put her head to your chest for a cuddle – she’s excited to see you. After disconnecting her ventilator, which she only needs at night, it’s time for breakfast and a light sponge bath.
From there, every day is a new adventure. You may decide to head outdoors to gaze at clouds, hunt for ladybugs, or make flower crowns. You may set up a living room campout or travel back in time with a book until it’s time for lunch.
Throughout the day, you prepare and deliver her medications and perform her routine trach and g-tube care – documenting the dosages and treatments within your dedicated Point of Care platform, where you’re able to view and compare notes and assessments easily and electronically. While your client takes a late afternoon nap, you finalize your electronic documentation and touch base with the relieving member of your care team before heading home.
