Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.

Responsibilities
Supervise, coordinate, and provide leadership while directing activities of clinical/non-clinical or interdisciplinary teams of licensed and non-licensed caregivers and support staff delivering mquality patient care and ensuring implementation of clinical objectives in an assigned area.
Assess daily patient care needs and develop and distribute patient care assignments of clinical/non-clinical or an interdisciplinary team of licensed and non-licensed caregivers and support staff, ensuring that population appropriate patient care is given.
In accordance with the applicable State Nurse Practice Act, delegate appropriate duties to clinical/non-clinical or interdisciplinary teams of licensed and non-licensed caregivers and support staff based on their assessed skills and abilities.
Gather information from other members of the clinical/non-clinical or interdisciplinary team and uses this data to plan for the care of all patients on the unit for the shift.
Evaluate the care delivered by other licensed and non-licensed caregivers and support staff by providing direct and immediate feedback and coaching, ongoing verbal and written feedback to the clinical/non-clinical leader on the performance of staff and evaluating the performance trends under his/her direction and recommend and participate in corrective/disciplinary action as required.
Participate in the hiring process for new staff members assigned to the shift by conducting interviews and making hiring recommendations to the clinical/non-clinical leader.

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing
Current nursing licensure in Minnesota
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within one month
External candidate RNs are eligible for a recruitment bonus of $10,000 for ADNs and $15,000 for BSNs

Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Implement and monitor patient care plans.
Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patient’s discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
Requirements
Education:
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing OR current home state license if considered multi-state/Compact State.
Education:
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.

Job Summary
The Cardiovascular Registered Nurse coordinates patient care for assigned patients utilizing the nursing process.
Performs all duties and responsibilities in such a way as to demonstrate and support the hospital’s Catholic heritage and Avera’s values of hospitality, compassion and stewardship.
Provides care/service in accordance with regulatory and accrediting agencies standards and Catholic Ethical and Religious Directives.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
Must have current RN licensure in the state of SD or multi-state privilege to practice in SD if residing in a compact state outside of SD.
BLS Certification required within 60 days of hire.
ACLS Certification required within 6 months of hire.
Work Schedule
Varied day shifts as needed; PRN
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
